2 months!

Abigail is two months old! She is a great baby. she is starting to smile more and is more alert. She is sleeping on average between 4-7 hours at night! She now weighs 9 lbs. 3 oz. according to her 2 month check up. Enjoy the pictures!

Welcome to the family of God, Abigail Thérèse

On April 14th, 2012 we baptized our daughter, Abigail Thérèse. We chose this date because a year ago on April 14th is when we found out Caleb had died. We wanted to redeem the day by welcoming our daughter into God's family. Here are some pictures. The dress she is wearing is actually my wedding dress. I had it made into our childrens' baptismal gown in order to start a family tradition that can be passed down.  It was a great day with family and friends and Abigail did great!

Abigail's Baptismal Candle. 

The wax used to make this candle was from the Easter candle that was used at Caleb's funeral. So the last time this wax was ever lit was at Caleb's funeral. We will make all of our future children's' baptismal candles from the Easter candle as a way to share Caleb with all of our children.

Who could forget the puppy? She was excited by all the visitors over the weekend and even made a new best friend in baby Gianna! 

Happy Birthday Caleb!

Happy One Year Birthday Caleb. We miss you so much but are so thankful for the time we got with you while you were here. We will never forget you. Caleb's birthday consisted of going to the cemetery to decorate his grave, going to mass which was offered up for Caleb and our family, lunch at Steak N Shake (that is where I ate ALL THE TIME when I was pregnant with him. I just craved cheeseburgers from there!), and then a stop at labor and delivery to bring the wonderful people on third shift some treats to thank them for the care they gave us during our delivery with Caleb. We even got to spend some time back in the very room Caleb was born in- such a great birthday treat for mommy! Here are some pictures of the day.

My incredible husband got together a card shower for Caleb's birthday. I received over 50 cards for Caleb's birthday letting me know that Caleb is not forgotten! Thank you Nathan- I love you. Thank you everyone who sent the cards- I loved them! Caleb- we miss you and love you!

More pictures to come! Easter was a GREAT day! Hard to believe how much has changed since last Easter. Abigail looked great in her Easter dress from grandma Gwen. She didn't make a sound the whole mass an overall was a happy baby the whole day!
