A wedding, a first mass, and 3 months!

What a weekend! Abigail went to her first wedding. Our friends Dave and Alexandra from FOCUS got married in Peoria. It was a great celebration and we got to see a lot of old FOCUS friends. Then on Pentecost Sunday we got to attend Father Dan Gifford's first mass. This was such an incredible mass! Lots of great music, latin, and tons of priests and religious sisters. I have known Father Gifford from when we were in high school. It is so exciting to start seeing people my age ordained to the priesthood. At the end of the busy weekend, Abigail tuned 3 months old! Abigail now weighs 10 lbs. 12 oz. She can roll over and roll herself back! Her hair keeps growing and I have no idea how to take care of it! She is smiling more and coming into her own personality. We just switched her from her bassinet into the crib. It has been a rough transition b/c she is now rolling all over the place and wakes herself up constantly. Other than that, no new news! Just a happy baby!

Where did May go?

May is almost over and I realized I haven't posted any pictures of Abigail yet! Here are the latest!Also- Abigail is now weighing 10 lb. 4 oz. according to the scale last week. Her hair keeps growing and it seems her eyes will be blue. She is a great sleeper (I recommend the book, Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child- it totally changed our lives for the better with her sleeping!) She is smiling more and overall just the most pleasant baby to be around! We can't believe she is almost 3 months old! Enjoy the pictures!

2 months!

Abigail is two months old! She is a great baby. she is starting to smile more and is more alert. She is sleeping on average between 4-7 hours at night! She now weighs 9 lbs. 3 oz. according to her 2 month check up. Enjoy the pictures!

Welcome to the family of God, Abigail Thérèse

On April 14th, 2012 we baptized our daughter, Abigail Thérèse. We chose this date because a year ago on April 14th is when we found out Caleb had died. We wanted to redeem the day by welcoming our daughter into God's family. Here are some pictures. The dress she is wearing is actually my wedding dress. I had it made into our childrens' baptismal gown in order to start a family tradition that can be passed down.  It was a great day with family and friends and Abigail did great!

Abigail's Baptismal Candle. 

The wax used to make this candle was from the Easter candle that was used at Caleb's funeral. So the last time this wax was ever lit was at Caleb's funeral. We will make all of our future children's' baptismal candles from the Easter candle as a way to share Caleb with all of our children.
